I want to use toondoo in my high school classroom for a project, but today everyone's computers got very slow as soon as everyone tried to log in.  Is this a glitch about today, or is it really not possible to have 30 people log on and use it all at once?  Everyone could load other websites right away, but toondoo was taking forever.

    Advice?

    Thanks!!

Sometimes the website does that, infact, almost every website does. It happens temporarily, especially when there's high traffic going on around the site. If the site is slow, it will be better soon (maybe in an hour). I don't really have any adivice, when it's slow, it's slow.

    You have to be patient.

I think some of you already experienced that the site got faster. That means they're working on it. There are less downtimes than before. I am sure the toondoo team is working very hard right now to make the server faster and more stable.

It is difficult for every server to support and process multiple connections in such a mass. There are thousands of people connected and logged on to the toondoo server at the same time you and your class were. Maybe even another class of a different school was, too.

Be a little patient. The Toondooteam listens to you. They know what you need and I am pretty sure that they're already working on it. Give it a few days. It is worth it.

    Yours

    Lu.

Thanks Lu for that answer, and for your trust in us.

ToonDoo, like any other web service, is built for massive parallellism. No website can afford to go down on its knees for just 30 people logging in from a school.

We have been, of late, doing a series of upgrades and fine-tunes to the site, and during those times, we bring down parts of it to "patch up".

You must have tried logging in at exactly that very moment, and must have got caught in our traffic jam.

    Sorry about that.

We can't say these problems will go away forever, but we are working on making things much better, every waking moment. (And, when we sleep, we dream of ToonDoo!)

P.S:- We don't pre-announce such downtimes as they aren't technically "downtimes", and they last for a very little time only.

Thank you for the comments--I certainly wasn't being critical, I just wanted to know if anyone had a strategy for getting around this problem.  I have a class on it right now, and they seem to be doing fine.  We'll just be patient and work with it!

Thanks for the input!  I'm excited to see what they come up with (photosynthesis!)...
