Out of Toon (Tune)!: Most offensive comment to date...

 Normally I would not give such brainless morons any airspace but this person is really sick and probably needs help:

No, I don't believe I've had the displeasure yet. This person is in dire need of help. And we are in dire need of having him or her removed from Toondoo. There is nothing constructive in such threats, nor is it a matter of expressing freedom of speech. This is harassment and a threat.

Hi all,

Right now, you have the facility to delete comments that are placed on your ToonDoos, if you don't approve of them.

And, we introduced a feature to send the text-of-the-comment via email itself, instead of forcing you to come all the way to the website only to see noxious stuff sitting there for you.

But, now, it looks to me, you don't like such noxious stuff greeting you from your inbox, first thing every morning!

I am running out of options here.

Removing a user is not a feasible option, because, the way the current registration works, that guy is just going to return using some other anonymous username address.

What I am suggesting then is yet another time-wasting, tech-intensive, but seemingly-necessary patchwork to the existing system.

Instead of automatically approving all comments by all users on all ToonDoos by any ToonDooer, I suggest that we introduce moderation. Every comment will have to be moderated before it is accepted on to the ToonDoo page.

The other, less dire alternative would be, a ToonDooer can "block" users that he/she doesn't like on ToonDoo. And, he/she will then have nothing to do with that blocked person. They will get no comments, no inapps, no cheers, no nothing, from the blocked person.

Which one sounds better for you all, to impose a safer world devoid of parseltongues?

 This is I suspect a provocateur who is seeking we demand some sort of Internet Identification System for Internet. Upset enough people and the demand will be generated.

 Generate a problem so that there is a demand for a preselected solution.

I would hope your self worth is not determined by comments made by some poor demented lost soul or more likely an agent provocateur trying to censor and restrict Internet users.

Again, press the delete button.

Don't let the desire for security override your need for open dialog. It's the only thing that keeps us from being owned by our fear.

The only thing worse than someone leaving a rude obnoxious comment on one of my toons is someone demanding that I present my ID papers for my own protection.

I know who I am and no comment from someone else can ever degrade my soul. They degrade themselves, even if they are agent provocateurs.

 

 

Maybe we should have something that grows in power the worse something gets. Like, if you report them, they are temporarily blocked, a second mishap will stop them from seeing your toons, a third will permanently block them from you, etc. etc. I know this may seem too forgiving but some people may only be joking, so let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

WOW I'm turning into a big softie! The thing I don't understand is why they do it. I know the world will never be all rainbows and butterflies but lets get as close as we can, shall we? It isn't that hard to let your feelings out on something else. We dont need to make a super-perfect security megamatron thingamajig to stop this. Just easy steps and common sense. And always remember that SOME comments may be meant differently to how you're reading it. caryloliver, this obviously doesnt apply for the comment you received.

Maybe its the best,just to ignore this ''users''.Most of them are just passing by.Delete the comments  and do'nt worry.Unfortunately there is no way to block them.Other sites and forums are atacked too by this ''sick''users.

Dude, ur not the only one with major comment problems, 3 VERY sick minded, brainless piles of snot piled on comments close to wat ur describing...my comment thing was full of wat these pitiful witless wonders who find it funny to say stuff like this....
