    I really like that there is a facility to comment on toondoos but I am wondering about something that has started to appear in the last few weeks:

    Most of my toons are pretty corny or just silly and I don't do political or contentious ones so I have been a bit suprised to start getting some pretty offensive comments posted. In order to perhaps understand the comment I have had a look at the profile of the person making them and it is nearly always someone who has not created any toons themselves.

    There is an old saying "if you can nothing nice, then say nothing". Am I very old fashioned to think that this is still valid?

    Are others getting these sorts of comments?

    I don't mind people saying they don't like my toons, that is their choice, but I do not really appreciate gratuitous and offensive insults. Am I over-sensitive?

    you are not sensitive at all, I got a comment on my first toon saying 'this sucks'... I almost didnt do anymore toons, but i got my confidence back and created the 'werewolves' series and the same people that said my work sucked loved it.

    SO POO TO THEM!

    You know that saying, "sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me"? well words do hurt no matter what you try to tell yourself. One strategy I have to cope with mean and innapropriate comments is to think of a comeback but not say or write it.

    Thanks guys - I feel better. Still under attack though. Will try to rise above it and just delete the comments. Guess they are just trying to get a reaction becausevthey aren't smart enough to create toons....

    Perhaps food for thought for some toons from us??

    Here- DELETE THEIR COMMENTS! It's easy! Right next to the comment is a "Delete Comment" button. Just remember: The people who are obscene on your toon are just dorks with less of a life than a level 70 Warrior on WoW! Keep in mind that they just like to hurt your feelings! If you delete it and know that they are less than likely to have even READ your toon! Ignore, Delete, Rejoice, Repeat if needed! Hope it helps Laughing

    ur so right. i mean like it's definitely  okay  to say wut u want cuz no one can take dat right from u. BUT, to a certain extent! all i got to say iz y'all out dere who be sayin some rude ignorant stuff need to chill wit dat! dat ain't even necessary. so yea jus stop bein stupid and treat others da way u wanna be treated.

    Guess what guys?

    Because of this incessant complaint about "offensive comment" and the unstoppable barrage of bad-comments from some spammers, we are going to stop working on any new features on ToonDoo, and focus our brains and efforts on building an elaborate comment-moderation system.

    Happy? :-(

    well toondoo is great and all but i would much rather comment control than new features because whats the point of making toondoos with new features if someone's going to dis it
